Thin Film Laboratory (ThiFiLab)

The "Thin Film Laboratory” (ThiFiLab) is historically dedicated to the deposition of semiconducting materials, metals and insulators all in the form of thin films. This expertise is supported by numerous equipment dedicated to vacuum deposition of all the interesting materials suitable for solid state devices, in particular polycrystalline thin film solar cells.
 

Laboratory of Spectrophotometry and Microspectrophotometry

Laboratory of Spectrophotometry and Microspectrophotometry with research activity addressed to optical properties of both insulating and semiconductor materials (IR-Vis-UV range; absorption and reflectivity spectrophotometry and microspectrophotometry, diffuse reflectance, linear dichroism).

Laboratory for Metal-Organic Vapor Phase Epitaxy (MOVPE)

Laboratory for Metal-Organic Vapor Phase Epitaxy (MOVPE) of wide-band gap oxide semiconductors (Ga2O3 and related alloys), jointly managed by the Department of Mathematical, Physical and Computer Sciences and IMEM-CNR Institute and coordinated Prof. Roberto Fornari. The MOVPE reactor is located in the dedicated lab at IMEM-CNR in the Campus of Sciences and Technologies of Parma University.
