Titolo del Progetto di ricerca: Advanced Computational Tools for In Vivo and Ex Vivo Imaging of Lung Disease in Preclinical Models
Tematiche del Progetto di ricerca: The goal of this project is to develop a micro-tomographic protocol to provide accurate projection sorting, reconstruction, and longitudinal quantitative functional analysis in several animal models of pulmonary diseases. This study will focus on the application of traditional algorithms and AI methods in micro-CT analysis, connecting the different computational methods and integrating them into the current routine analysis. Moreover, it will support the development and evaluation of new automated methods in image processing to compare the quantitative and functional CT-based assessments to classical 2D histology and 3D fluorescencebased imaging. The final objective is to realize an integrative platform, merging quantitative and functional analysis provided by different applications.
