Magnetometry and Susceptometry

The Oxford Instruments MagLab System2000 is a multi-measurement platform that allows different automated measurements to be made by a series of dedicated probes

• AC magnetic susceptibility probe
• DC magnetic measurements probe (extraction magnetometer)
• Cantilever Magnetometry Probe (CMP): measurement of the magneto-crystalline anisotropy of microcrystals

The working principle is that of a magnetic balance: measurement of the magnetic interaction force between the sample and a (horizontal) magnetic field gradient produced by the shaped pole pieces of an electromagnet.
