Abstract:

I will review some recent papers of ours where we — along with other groups — approached the understanding of

the quantisation of a classical string soliton, the Gubser-Klebanov-Polyakov (GKP) vacuum,

through peculiar tools of integrable systems. Furthermore, I will show the meaning of the excitations

on this vacuum and of their scattering to generate a new (integrable) paradigm for AdS/CFT.
