About us
The scientific activities of the Research Group in Mathematical Physics concern various aspects in the field, with particular reference to kinetic theory of gases, differential models in biomathematics, and geometric techniques in impulsive mechanics. Specific research interests include:
- inert or reactive Boltzmann equations;
- BGK-type relaxation models;
- kinetic equations for socio-economic problems;
- hydrodynamic limits of kinetic equations;
- qualitative study of dynamical systems;
- population dynamics;
- mathematical models in biomathematics;
- reaction-diffusion equations;
- pattern formation in PDEs;
- foundations of impulsive mechanics;
- ideal and non-ideal unilateral constraints.
